Congratulations to Justin Dubik for receiving the Manuel Stein Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to Engineering Mechanics graduate students who "show the potential for scholarly achievement in teaching and research and has demonstrated dedication to the welfare and well-being of others." Justin was also one of the recipients of the Liviu Librescu Memorial Fellowship which is given to students "with outstanding academic records and who have demonstrated strong leadership potential and commitment to professional or community service."

Congratulations to Morgan Atkinson for receiving the Research Excellence Award at the Spring 2023 Dennis Dean Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship Conference, Blacksburg, Virginia and the Stefan Duma Award for Research in Biomedical Engineering. Morgan was also awarded the College of Science Deans' Roundtable Scholarship. Way to go!!!

Alyssa was awarded first place in the Ph.D. Poster Presentation competition for her submission titled Strains Induced by Smooth Muscle Contraction in the Rat Vagina.
